The city of Denver is providing drop locations for leaf recycling. The nearest drop site is the Cherry Creek Transfer Station at 7301 E. Jewell Ave., and the cross streets are Quebec and Cherry Creek Drive South. They are open weekdays Oct. 1st – Nov. 30th, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and weekends Nov. 1 -16, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free paper bags for leaf collection–as they are also recyclable–are available at participating Ace Hardware stores with a coupon. The coupons are available online at DenverGov.org/Leafdrop. Please note that they also recycle pumpkins after Halloween, too!
For more information, please feel free to call the Denver Events line at 720-865-6810 or Tom Strickland at 303-446-3409.
For those looking for a solution to unwanted raccoon visits, one of our neighbors has kindly offered a spray recipe that has worked for them. Mix lemon dishwashing liquid, tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper and ammonia together.
As always, we want to thank all of our neighbors who paid their dues since the picnic. If there are neighbors who still wanted to pay, please make the $25 check payable to Pine Valley HOA or the Pine Valley Homeowners Association and drop it off with the HOA president, Philip Jolas at 8622 E. Grand Ave.
On a final note, please share the info from the broadcast with your neighbors in case they aren’t on our phone system. If they want to be added to our system, please ask them to call your Pine Valley Homeowner’s Association President, Philip Jolas at 303-770-1589.
